Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan talking at the function of the release of Kerala Kaumudi Sree Narayana Directory, said purification rituals are being held at the temples nowadays as per the order of the tantris. The purification was a primitive act and an insult to the entire nation, he said. Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi, present at the function described the act as incorrect and said it has been held earlier also.
